BROTHERHOOD OF
KILTED VETERANS

                             A message from
                                      our commander

First and foremost, it is the greatest honor for me to lead the greatest group of Scottish-American Veterans I know.
First, why are we a brotherhood instead of a Legion or Society?  It took alot of thought. It wasn’t chosen to exclude females but instead, it was chosen (by both men and women veterans) as a reflection of that deep Brotherhood we share as veterans. Veterans are not a Society; we are Brothers and sisters who make one big family. Real vets know how much deeper the brotherhood is than a social group. It’s a blood thing. So, what is the BKV?
As the Founding Commander,we are a brother and sisterhood of veterans of Scottish and Scots-Irish ancestry. And our mission is to support Veterans and the Scottish Communities through educational programs, service projects and program support for other veteran and Scottish Clans and Societies.
My minds-eye goal, in creating the BKV was to create a standalone group to encompass both my passions into one. My military heritage and my Scottish Ancestry.
My motto, as hope yours will be, is “Serving Veterans through strength and honor”.
Respectfully,
